I am HOOKED on Alice Feeney! RPS is also the book that got me.

I think you look lovely in all these photos.

My mother and I have a similar (dysmorphia? Idk) thing where we don't like photos of ourselves. They just don't meet our expectations of what we look like. She likes to Photoshop. I do some light editing but mostly I delete photos. I've tried to let it go the past few years.

I think for me too it's a left-to-right thing. I'm so used to seeing what I see in the mirror, it's weird to see me as others see me.

Thank you ❤️ And yes! I often look in the mirror and think, "I look pretty cute!" and then I see a photo and think, "Who IS that?"

Ohmygosh, YES to both of your sentiments. There's the how-I-think-I-look aaaand then there's the how-I-really-look. Unfortunately, the two are different. I can so relate to these feelings. Aging is hard.

LOVED this story about Geloy & your interaction with him. He sounds like a really talented, interesting guy. Also, I'm curious to know if I'm the new friend that you had that deep conversation with. 🤔 Thinking our first phone call might've happened around that time. If so, I'm excited to have made it into the mentions on your blog, even anonymously. You've DEFINITELY made an impact on me since we became friends & have challenged & inspired me in ways I wouldn't have imagined. So grateful our lives have intersected - even long distance. You've helped me more than you'll ever know just by being authentically yourself. 💗

Oh Susan thank you so much for your kind words. I'm so grateful for our friendship and connection. And it very well may have been you I had that conversation with!
