I love this: “I make fun of low-effort men. Who expect women to swoon at their bathroom mirror selfies with a toilet gaping open. At men who claim to be "Drama Free" or "not into drama" when what they really mean is "don't have any normal emotions or needs."

Lara! Can I join your facebook group?

One of my favorite things about you, Lara, is how you stand up for yourself. I have seen you do it countless times on Facebook and I love and respect that about you.

I was not ok with your being mentioned on another’s substack and I cheered when I says todays It’s Kind of a Ling Story.

I first wondered how you could read a blog for so long but be on such a different page than the person then I clicked in and said, oh, this lady. She’s been defending George for years. And blocked me for about as long 😆

Also I think your group is clever as hell, I laughed out loud at examples, and I enjoyed this essay.

I'm so disappointed that you were mean girl bullied for your group. EWW. AA can kiss my A.

Eh, It's only bullying if I care and/or am ashamed of what I wrote. I don't and I'm not.

Are there any conventionally good looking men that you poke fun of? And why can’t you obscure their face and/or other features, if their physical appearances are irrelevant?

Good questions! Thank you

I have made fun of conventionally good looking men's profiles, but TBH, most of them are just dull.

I could obscure their faces, but often it is the faces they are making and images they are choosing that inspire my ire. It's absolutely not how their faces look.

You are blessed to have so many friends, love and laughter in your life.

The FB group makes me a little sad. I hope my single son doesn’t end up mocked by your group. 😞

There’s surely a way around that! As long as he’s not low-effort!

Thank you CK <3 Your single son probably isn't in my dating pool. And, because you raised him, I doubt he'll be as clueless, arrogant, entitled or just plain weird as the men I'm poking fun at.

I'm the mother of a son as well (although he's gay) and I would be mortified if he did the things these dudes do.
